Monadnock Economic Development Corporation - Committed to the creation of jobs in Southwest NH

Monadnock Economic Development Corporation (MEDC) is a private, not-for-profit regional development organization committed to the creation of jobs and the broadening of the tax base of the Southwest corner of New Hampshire. The Board of Directors and staff of MEDC concentrate their efforts on business retention, relocation, expansion and recruitment projects, as well as downtown revitalization, renovation and rehabilitation projects. In addition to its revolving loan fund and its network of financial institutions, MEDC has access to state and federal funds earmarked for economic development.

MEDC accomplishments include the development of Black Brook Corporate Park, the rehabilitation of the Chamberlain Block Building, the Beaver Mill, the E.F. Lane Hotel, 46 Main Street, the Colonial Theater, and the expansion of Len-Tex Corp. in North Walpole, Benson Woodworking in Walpole, The Mountain and Tree Free Greetings in Marlborough and Keene, and PlumPak and Atlantic Paper & Foil in Winchester. Current projects include the Monadnock Region Business Incubator Network, the Troy Mills Complex and Bridgeport Metal Goods.
